Pioneering Hearing Wellness: Blucalm Technology at WHO’s ‘Make Listening Safe 2025’
As an innovative brand in the professional headset industry, Blucalm Technology is greatly honored to be invited—alongside global technology leaders such as Apple, Sony, and Huawei—to participate in the high-level, multi-stakeholder meeting “Make Listening Safe Initiative 2025”, hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The event was held from July 1–3, 2025, at ITU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
The meeting brought together more than 70 participants from national governments, UN agencies, academia, civil society, industry, and the health, education, and entertainment sectors. Discussions focused on the global prevalence of hearing loss—impacting 1.5 billion people worldwide—particularly among young people. Much of this hearing loss is caused by preventable factors, such as unsafe exposure to loud sounds.

This urgent global challenge has been one of the driving forces behind our commitment to promoting safe listening practices and implementing the WHO/ITU H.870 standards.
