INSIGHT 60 Receives Silver Award at the 2025 Manufacturing Excellence & Innovation Awards

INSIGHT 60 has been awarded the Silver Award at the 2025 Manufacturing Excellence & Innovation Awards (MEI Awards), an emerging award dedicated to recognizing high-level industrial manufacturing products. Unlike established commercial design awards such as iF and Red Dot, the MEI Awards place a strong emphasis on industrial capability, product integrity, and the integration of design with manufacturing excellence.

The 2025 edition of the MEI Awards saw intense competition, with a total of 8,540 products submitted from across China. Following multiple rounds of evaluation, only 660 products advanced to the final review stage. Ultimately, just 27 products were selected to receive Gold or Silver Awards. Within the consumer electronics category, INSIGHT 60 ranked among the Top 3 and was honored with a Silver Award, reflecting its overall strength in design, innovation, and manufacturing quality.

Organized to spotlight outstanding industrial products, the MEI Awards bring together leading Chinese manufacturers to present work that demonstrates thoughtful design, technological advancement, and robust production standards on a global stage. The judging process places particular importance on how products address real-world needs through practical, well-executed solutions rather than superficial form-driven design.

The judging committee is led by Professor Liu Guanzhong, Lifetime Chairman of the committee and widely regarded as the “Father of Industrial Design in China.” Professor Liu has long advocated that design should center on solving genuine human needs. He emphasizes the synergy between design and technological innovation, and has consistently opposed design approaches that prioritize aesthetics without clear purpose or functional value.

INSIGHT 60 was developed in line with this philosophy. Designed around real human needs in modern work environments, it combines purposeful design, intelligent technology, and solid manufacturing foundations to support long-term use, comfort, and reliability. The recognition from the MEI Awards affirms the product’s alignment with a design approach that values substance, responsibility, and meaningful innovation.
